Welcome!

I am an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor in Norwich. It means that I blend my approach to counselling depending on what the client needs. I draw from a range of counselling theories and I like to work in an existentially-informed way, encouraging my clients to consider their views on life and how they might find new meaning and purpose. I seek to empower my clients to lead more dynamic and satisfying lives.

About Me

I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Integrative Counselling from Middlesex University. I have completed specialist training in relationship therapy. I was awarded – with a distinction – The Grove’s Certificate in Couple/Relationship Therapy accredited by COSRT at Level 5.

As well as being an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, I'm a writer and hold a BA (Hons) degree from Oxford University.

I have a particular interest in counselling for addiction and homelessness.

Drug, alcohol and gambling addiction can destroy people’s lives and make them feel trapped in a repeating cycle of failure and dependency. I offer addiction counselling which supports clients’ rehabilitation as they strive to become clean and embrace sobriety.

Addiction often stems from difficult and traumatic events in a person’s past. The substance or behaviour becomes a way of coping with the emotional challenges that life has thrown at them. My approach to addiction counselling helps clients to better understand the causes of their addiction and how they can develop healthier coping mechanisms. I work to both encourage disconnection from the addictive substance or behaviour and build a more productive, enriched life.

I have honed my addiction counselling skills in Norfolk with specialist addiction agencies Emerging Futures and Rebabs UK

Life has taught me that everyone has the potential to live better, more productive lives and I have witnessed profound changes in clients through counselling. I am a member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society and work to an ethical framework that prioritises the needs of the client.

I am committed to continuous professional development through supervision, learning events and journal reading.
